Services: Portable Fire Extinguishers: Field Services

	With state-of-the-art equipment, our facility can handle high volume services and larger wheeled fire extinguishers. We also have hydrostatic testing capability of all types and sizes of cylinders. We are licensed by D.O.T. In Depth Maintenance (6 Year): All stored pressure dry chemical fire extinguishers must be emptied and physically inspected internally for pitting, rust, corrosion, or contamination of chemical. The physical condition and operation of the valve parts are thoroughly inspected and repaired or replaced as needed. Recharging: Fire extinguishers are required to be recharged after discharge or as indicated by periodic maintenance. Recharging is the replacement or replenishment of the extinguishing agent. In certain types of fire extinguishers, it may include the replenishment of the expellant.

Hydrostatic Testing:
This is a required pressure test designed to check the elasticity (the expansion and the contraction) of the fire extinguisher’s cylinder. This in-depth procedure can only be performed at our service shop.
