Candidates for a technician position must be friendly and outgoing with a strong mechanical aptitude. E/M technicians require electronics skills. Unless specified as a "shop" technician, all technicians work in the field at customer locations to perform installation, inspections, complete deficiency reports, and provide maintenance and repair services to fire protection equipment in compliance with fire codes.
Aidant provides training in fire protection equipment and systems, but any experience in fire protection or related industries is a plus.
Backflow certification/license is a plus.
Aidant Requires for all technicians:
- Highschool graduate or GED
- Mechanical aptitude
- Electronics skills (E/M technicians only)
- Good driving record
- Non-smoker
- Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing more than 40 pounds
- Ability to work effectively both in a team-based environment and independently
- Excellent customer service skills
